The 1535nm microchip laser is a eye-safe laser using Er:Glass as the working medium.This laser have been widely used and recognized in the field of small laser range finders.Recently,the use of this laser in LIBS (Laser-induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) handheld devices has begun to attract attention in the industry.This paper briefly analyzes the application prospect of 1535nm laser in LIBS by introducing some characteristics of 1535nm laser and comparisons with conventional 1064nm laser.
