MCI Series 2.5ns Microchip Laser 946nm

RealLight MCI Series 2.5ns Microchip Laser
Independently developed by RealLight, the MCI Series 2.5ns microchip laser is a RealSubns® diode-pumped passively Q-switched solid-state laser. It features compact size, cost-effectiveness and high operational reliability, along with stable output energy, high peak power and excellent beam quality. It serves as an ideal pulsed laser source for laser-induced fluorescence (LIF), laser-based ultrasound detection, laser ranging and Raman spectroscopy, fully catering to equipment integration, experimental support and long-term continuous operation.
With an integrated design of diode pump module and laser crystal, the laser head measures 45×33×120 mm and the power supply unit is 180×102×180 mm. The compact structure enables easy installation and modular integration into precision instruments and optical systems. The laser supports both internal and external triggering modes for precise synchronization with timing systems and optical components. Equipped with dual RS232 and USB control interfaces, it allows convenient parameter configuration and maintenance. Powered by universal 100~240 VAC (50/60 Hz) input, it is available worldwide. The total power consumption is no more than 15 W for superior energy efficiency. It operates steadily at 15℃~35℃ and can be stored at 0℃~60℃, adapting to laboratories, outdoor monitoring sites and industrial workshops. A customized built-in beam expander and collimator are optional to reduce beam divergence to below 2 mrad. Both side output and central output structures are available to fit diverse optical path designs.
In terms of optical performance, the laser is offered at two wavelengths: 946 nm and 473 nm. The 946 nm version delivers a pulse width of 2500 ps (2.5 ns), pulse energy of 20 μJ and average power of 20 mW. The 473 nm version has a pulse width of 2000 ps, pulse energy of 4 μJ and average power of 4 mW. Both models achieve a maximum repetition rate of 1 kHz. The laser emits standard TEM00 beam with uniform spots and well-controlled divergence angles. Its polarization ratio exceeds 100:1 for outstanding polarization stability. The 8-hour RMS power stability is better than 3%. The clean pulse waveform and consistent output ensure high accuracy and repeatability for spectral analysis, ranging detection and ultrasonic testing.
Thanks to its compact layout, reliable performance, cost advantage and strong scalability, the MCI Series has extensive applications. It is widely used for Raman spectroscopy and LIF detection in spectral analysis, as well as laser ranging and laser-based ultrasound detection in precision inspection. Easy to install, low-power and maintenance-friendly, this microchip laser provides dependable light source support for laboratory research, commercial equipment mass production and outdoor detection system integration. It is a highly cost-effective choice for medium and short pulse laser applications.
