RL-HP-02 Handpieces
RealLight RL-HP-02 Multi-Wavelength Fiber Handpiece for Rehabilitation Physiotherapy
1. Product Overview
Independently developed by RealLight, the RL-HP-02 multi-functional medical fiber handpiece is specially designed for rehabilitation, pain management and otolaryngology departments, compatible with multi-wavelength diode physiotherapy laser equipment. The complete assembly consists of a fiber handheld body, interchangeable optical tips, integrated trigger switch, SMA905 flange input connector and 4-core aviation control cable. It supports simultaneous output of multiple wavelengths within 600–1100 nm, and matches perfectly with the company’s multi-wavelength diode modules, AWM laser systems and OEM laser main units. Featuring low optical transmission loss and uniform, stable laser beam, it is equipped with five dedicated optical heads to cover all physiotherapy scenarios targeting joints, shoulders, neck, muscles, ears, nose and throat. It can also be applied to scientific research and industrial fields including spectral detection, material analysis and miniature laser processing.
2. Core Product Advantages (Oriented to Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Clinical Needs)
2.1. Five interchangeable optical lenses/tips for full coverage of various physiotherapy lesions
Five standard treatment tips are provided for replacement according to different irradiation sites:
- L102A Mini Focusing Lens: Minimally invasive pinpoint irradiation for tiny pain points, finger joints, ear canals and nasal cavities;
- L103A Large Focusing Lens: Deep anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment for medium and large joints such as knees and elbows;
- L303A Beam Expander: Uniform irradiation for local muscle strain on shoulders, necks and waists;
- L304A Large Spherical Lens: Synchronized physiotherapy for large muscle groups on limbs and the back;
- T101A Angled Irradiation Tip: Non-invasive irradiation for curved cavities including throat and ear canals.
The optical transmittance of all handpiece tips ranges from 80% to 90%, enabling differentiated phototherapy solutions for superficial, deep and intracavitary lesions.
2.2. Simultaneous multi-wavelength output delivers synergistic multi-dimensional therapeutic effects
Multiple laser beams within 600–1100 nm can be transmitted synchronously. Red light facilitates mucous membrane repair, while near-infrared light penetrates deep into muscles and joints. Superimposed multi-band light improves microcirculation and inhibits inflammation synergistically. Compound phototherapy can be completed with a single handpiece without tip replacement, greatly boosting clinical efficiency in outpatient departments.
2.3. Low-loss armored fiber for long-term reliable service in clinics
It adopts 400 μm multi-mode fiber with NA of 0.22, wrapped by a 6 mm outer metal armor sleeve that resists breakage from repeated bending and pulling. The standard fiber length is 2±0.1 m, with customizable length and core diameter. The universal SMA905 plug-and-play input connector is compatible with most mainstream physiotherapy laser hosts on the market. Extremely low optical transmission loss ensures full laser energy acts on lesions for faster therapeutic effects.
2.4. Integrated all-in-one trigger switch on handpiece for safe and convenient operation
A control button is built into the handpiece, connected via a 4-core aviation control cable to realize real-time timing linkage with laser hosts for one-touch laser start and stop. No extra foot pedal accessories are required. Physicians can complete irradiation with one hand, reducing equipment wiring and keeping treatment rooms tidy.
2.5. Uniform mild beam with non-invasive low irritation, suitable for all populations
The homogenized optical path eliminates local energy hotspots, delivering warm and comfortable irradiation without burns to skin or ENT mucous membranes. It is well tolerated by the elderly, people with sensitive constitutions and patients in postoperative recovery. No side effects occur during long treatment courses, making it ideal for long-term physiotherapy of chronic pain and mucosal inflammation.
2.6. Stable performance under wide temperature and humidity conditions with simple maintenance
Operating temperature: 10–30 ℃; storage temperature: -20–60 ℃; operating/storage relative humidity: 10–60% RH. Lenses are resistant to contamination by water vapor and dust in clinical environments with no optical attenuation after long continuous physiotherapy. Daily maintenance only requires simple lens wiping.
3. Core Clinical Applications in Rehabilitation Physiotherapy
3.1. Large-area physiotherapy for cervical, lumbar, shoulder and leg pain & muscle strain
Matched with L303A beam expander and L304A large spherical lens, it delivers large-area irradiation on shoulders, backs, hips and limb muscle groups to relieve muscle stiffness, soreness and sports strain, improve local blood circulation and alleviate pain caused by chronic periarthritis and lumbar muscle strain.
3.2. Analgesic rehabilitation for various joint inflammations
L102A / L103A focusing lenses precisely target wrists, ankles, knees and elbows to suppress inflammatory edema inside joints, ease stabbing pain during movement induced by degenerative arthritis and tenosynovitis, and assist joint functional recovery.
3.3. Mucosal repair for otorhinolaryngological cavities
The dedicated angled T101A tip fits curved nasal, ear and throat cavities to gently irradiate lesion areas, relieve congestion and edema caused by allergic rhinitis, otitis externa and chronic pharyngitis, reduce reliance on hormonal drugs and realize non-invasive mucosal repair.
3.4. Repair of soft tissue contusions and postoperative wounds
Multi-wavelength composite irradiation accelerates tissue metabolism, promotes the healing of bruises and postoperative wounds, and alleviates postoperative swelling and pain, suitable for auxiliary physiotherapy after surgical and dermatological procedures.
3.5. Extended research and industrial applications
Beyond medical physiotherapy, it can serve as supporting accessories for biological spectroscopy, material irradiation and miniature laser processing equipment.
